Tugged away in rue du Nord, about 200 meters from the Grand Duke's Palace (uptown), is a little gem of a coffee shop that seeks to find a rival in terms of originality in the capital.
Known for having a chilled out and relaxed feeling, customers can browse through one of the bookshelves while sipping their coffee and savouring the delicious home-make bakery.
Konrad radiates an old English bohemian cool that really makes you appreciate time spent there alone or in the company of good friends. Overlooking your order is a white mouse's head that probably also speaks the lingua franca, English. Konrad is one of our favourites to spend time in the city, taking a timeout from the hustle and bustle of uptown with its busy Grand Rue.
It also has comedy nights every now and then and host a Pub quiz on Sunday. It's worth mentioning that Conrad also has the Tripadvisor 'Certificate of Excellence 2014'.
